“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love.” ~ Psalm 143:8
Don’t you love how everything seems brighter and more hopeful in the morning? No matter how much we might lay tossing and turning and worrying in the night, whatever nightmares or dark thoughts haunt us, morning often brings a new sense of hope and possibility. This past Saturday was all wind, clouds, and snow. Sunday morning, I awoke to the sun shining through the bitter cold and trees. It spoke to me, seemed to say, “Good morning, love, I’m here, and I always will be after the storm clouds clear. You can count on it.” Imagine rising each dawn since the beginning of time so that others might live? That is unfailing love.

This green orb did not want to go away, no matter what angle I held the camera. Some play of light that demanded to be seen.
You’re so right Kim. Every morning is like new hope and a new chance at anything and everything. Love this and love your photo too.

Thank you, Miriam! The photo didn’t do the sun justice, sadly, but it’ still beautiful. Maybe one day I’ll buy a good camera.

You’re right about mornings, especially when the middle of the night can be difficult at times. I love the photo and wonder if that green orb might be some sort of ghost😊

Funny you say that, George, because the same thought passed through my mind. I took several photos with my IPhone and it was in all of them, but of course I saw nothing like it when I was looking with my naked eyes. I’ll attribute it to a play of light, but who knows?

Wonderful post Kim.
The dawn of a new day is
always a sight to behold.
I think George may be right.
That green orb in your lovely photo
could well be a ghost. 👻

Cute little ghost, Alan. Would you believe I’ve never actually watched a sunrise? I’m going to Prague in May and I read that a must-see is watching the sun rise on the Charles Bridge, so that’s my plan.

I know that sunsets are beautiful, but I also prefer sunrises, because they do offer the hope of a new day. And isn’t it odd how troubles that seemed so overwhelming at 3 am don’t seem so bad once morning hits?
As for the green orb, it’s definitely a light that was determined to be seen. Ghost or otherwise, we’ll never know!

Have you watched a sunrise, Ann? I haven’t yet. It is odd how day makes this less overwhelming. Then again, there are probably people out there who are glad to sleep away their troubles 🙂

I have, but I’m embarrassed to say it is usually when I’m on vacation. Amazing how much more we appreciate things when we’re on vacation….

Some believe that those orbs of light are loved ones that have died and it is their energy caught in the picture….xo

It was so weird to see it, but it does add a little mystery to the photo. If what you say is true, I wonder who it is. Sadly, the guy that used to own that house shot himself. He was an old man who seemed quite lonely.

Your thoughts have made me think about the consistency of God’s love from the beginning of the first dawn. How marvelous a God we serve that never ceases to provide as promised. I love the photo. The green orb may just have been an angel spotlighting your view!

It’s so interesting that you say that because the thought of an angel passed through my mind, too. I appreciate your perspective here, not just about the angel but all of it. Thanks!

Thank you, Sheryl. By the way, I made the peanut butter pancakes yesterday – delicious! My son enjoyed them.
