Oh, Hariod, I love this! What fun! Such a cheery song. Maybe I’ll play it at their rehearsal dinner lol. Thanks for keeping it light😊

I absolutely agree Kim. Strong love will keep them together. It really does apply to all our relationships doesn’t it. And it never ends, no matter what stage of life we’re at, we all need to handle each other with care. ❤️

You are so right, Kim. It is too easy for people to give up on each other, especially in the hard times. But true love is strong enough to survive anything, and that’s what I hope for your son and his fiancé!

I wonder why the simplest concepts are often the hardest to put into practice.

Some people give up too easily and others find it hard to open up enough for someone to see how beautiful they really are. Never give up!!

That is such an excellent point, about others not opening up. This does make it difficult. Thank you for stopping by and for your comment. Have a great day!

Great advice, Kim. We live in a disposable society. Unfortunately that extends to people for some. Your words are timely and honest.

Thanks, George. My oldest son and his wife divorced and it was devastating to me because I love that woman. I was so upset with my son for a long time. I don’t know if my heart can stand it again. But of course they’re not even married yet, so I need to stay positive 🙂

That’s a tough one, Kim. Relationships can be so complicated especially when we, as parents, are placed in the middle of it and become emotionally invested. We’ll keep all fingers and toes crossed.

Well, this is quite interesting Kim! I suppose the quote does require some context. We live in a throwaway culture, where you can just get something newer and better (so you think) within the blink of an eye. Real relationships require commitment and hard work, but I’m pretty sure there are some situations where you might want to gently leave the person so they can repair themselves somehow, but not necessarily throw them out altogether.

My grandmother used to say, when it comes to divorce, you’re simply throwing away one set of problems for another. I agree with you, though, that some situations are simply unbearable, that you can leave, not in anger or despair, but because you really just need to leave.
